Dining Table Set Decoration
A very important thing to consider when you have people coming over at your house for any occasion is the decoration of your dining table set. Whether it is a special formal occasion or a casual dinner with friends, your dining table set should reflect the mood you want the gathering to have. There is a certain set of rules you have to take under consideration when decorating you dining table set.
The first thing you need to take care of is deciding what kind of tablecloth and napkins to use. Bright simple colors like white are considered a must for any formal event you want to host. Always make sure to wash and iron your tablecloth well as white will make any marks much more visible to your guests than any other color. Print designs will create a more casual and friendly environment when put on your dining table set so consider it when you want to host a casual dinner for your friends and/or family.
The centerpiece is another thing that is very important for the decoration of your dining table set. There is a variety of choices that you can make concerning your center piece. Flowers, candles or a bowl of nicely arranged fruit are some of the suggestions I have to make. However always make sure that it looks elegant and beautiful. Be careful not to overdo it as your dining table set will lose the warm feeling you want to attach to it. Another thing you must never do is to choose very tall objects to place as your dining table center piece. Always make sure that the centerpiece doesn’t block the view for any of the guests you have at your table as this can block a conversation and generally give a cold, unwelcoming feeling to your friends. If you choose something with colors make sure that it doesn’t look funny in relation to the whole decoration you have chosen for your dining table set. Elegance and simplicity are the words to follow.
Glasses and plates are also very important to your dining table set as well. Formal or casual in this case makes little to no difference. Never overdo it or it can seem like you are trying to show off to your guests and this can be very bad to the aura around your dining table set. Again, be simple and elegant. One glass for wine and one glass for water should be enough. Stemware is always a good choice so that no one thinks you are showing off and it doesn’t look cheap either.
Never leave things to luck when deciding your dining table set decoration. It is very important socially to be able to host a great dinner party and your dining table set should always be considered your crown jewel. Trust me. They will be running back every time you invite them if you follow my rules. Concerning food however, you are on your own.
