Let’s say for the sake of an argument that you don’t know the maximum amount of people you want your table to be able to accommodate. You then need to think of a few things. First, you need to consider the amount of people your family consists of which I will assume is 4. Then, you should think if you are the type of family that hosts certain events at your house throughout the year. If you do, you need to make sure to estimate the amount of people that usually attend these events. In order to come to a conclusion, I will assume that the number of people attending is your family plus 8 people. If this is the case, then your dining table and chairs should be able to accommodate at least 12 people. This means that the table should be large enough for a couple of more people just to be on the safe side. In the case mentioned above for example, your dining table and chairs should be able to hold about 14 people. In some cases, it can prove to be more efficient to buy two dining table sets instead of buying a huge one. My suggestion here would be that both tables are identical so that they can look good when used together.
