Below I will discuss a few different uses a white table can have. I promise to make a couple of more articles after that so that we can all have a clearer picture about what a white table can be used for. In this one, we are going to discuss about a dining white table and a white coffee table. Of course, every type of table can also come in white and another really popular piece is a console table.

Dining White Table

A white table can be very useful in your dining room as a dining table. You should be careful however to choose the correct one. In order to choose the correct dining white table, you should match it with the characteristics of your dining room. First, your dining room should have white (or any other very light color) colored walls. Then you should consider the shape and size. If it is made for family dining, then I would suggest you buy a small round dining white table that fits perfectly in your dining room. If on the other hand you want it for large groups of people, you should buy a big square one. Always when you are buying a table for many people, go for the square shape as it saves tons of space for your living room. Material is also very important. I would suggest that you take a good look at your dining room before choosing the material you want your dining white table made of. Choose something that will blend in nicely and won’t look weird. Also, when choosing the size of your dining white table, make sure to leave enough space for the chairs. Remember that a chair needs enough space for someone to be able to get in and out of the chair easily.

White Coffee Table

There are beautiful white tables that can also be used as coffee tables. A coffee table is the table you have in your living room in front of your sofa which you usually use to drink your coffee in the morning. It would definitely look very nice if you had a white coffee table but again be careful. It is not very easy for a white coffee table to blend in your living room environment. It is a very bright piece of furniture that would be suitable in two cases in my opinion. The first is if the dominant color of your living room is black. A white coffee table will make a nice contrast with your black furniture and I can bet it will look beautiful. The second case is if your living room filled with white furniture. Size and shape solely depend on your living room size and set up so I’m afraid I cannot make any suggestions concerning that. I can only urge you to be careful when choosing as always.

Console tables are pieces of furniture that many people use in a wrong way. There are some uses that a console table is not designed for even you think that it is suitable. I will list a few common mistakes that people make when deciding the use of such a table.

Console Tables as TV stands

Many times people think that it is appropriate to use a console table as a TV stand. In my opinion this is a big mistake. Console tables may seem practical for such a use but usually they are not meant to withstand such weight. Normally the main reason why people buy such tables is for decorative purposes. This means that normally these tables are used to put a few beautiful decorative pieces on them. It is not always wrong to use it as a TV stand, but it has to be the correct console table. This means that it should be made from the correct material so that it can hold the weight of your TV and also it should be the correct size so that your TV set fits perfectly.

Console Table as a coffee table

This is probably the most common mistake people make and, for me, the most annoying. A console table has absolutely nothing to do with a coffee table. Console tables are made for completely different purposes. First, a coffee table is meant to be short. Its height usually should be at about your knees so that when you sit down at your sofa, your hands will stand higher than the table. A console table on the other hand is normally meant to have the height of a regular table. The correct height in my opinion is about the height of your waste. It is not at all comfortable to have a coffee table that is about the height of your waste in any way and the reasons are apparent.

Console Tables as a dining tables

I don’t even understand how people can make such a mistake. A dining table is meant to be at least large enough to host a dinner for 4 people. Even though console tables of that size exist, it is completely inappropriate. A console table doesn’t necessarily have to be practical and on the other hand this is the main feature of a dining table.

So there you have it. These are the most common mistakes people make when considering to buy a console table and are trying to decide how to use it. Of course one thing is true. If you do it with elegance and care, anything can look good. There is such large variety with console tables that I’m sure you’ll be able to find pieces that fit the purposes mentioned above. My opinion on the other hand is that, since there are thousands of designs for every type of table, you should search every type of table you need for your house separately. There is no need to do experiments. They are all out there waiting for you so try to find the appropriate one for each purpose. A console table is great for many purposes but my opinion is that it is not meant for the uses mentioned above.
