First is the variety of products you will be able to find. A seller has no reason not to put the console table he is trying to get rid of on craigslist and the reason is that it is free. So because of this, you will be able to find almost any kind of console table you are looking for. A second very important reason why I would recommend this service is a feature this website offers. This feature is that you can localize your search to an area near where you live. This means that you will be able to find sellers that are close to your house and this way you will be able to make an appointment and go check the console table you are interested for yourself. It is common for a seller to add a photograph of the table to the advertisement he places but as I told you before, I never trust photographs. My opinion is that you should get out there and see the console table you want with your own eyes. Another very good thing about this service is that you don’t pay online. Since it has this feature that enables you to localize your search, you are able to go pick up the console table yourself and to pay cash to the seller directly. This saves time and money both for you and for the seller. One last disadvantage I found this website has is that it does not exist throughout the world. Since craigslist’s main advantage for me is locality, there are some areas or even countries that his particular website has not yet become very popular and because of this it will not be easy for you to use it if you live in that areas.

When you consider buying a new console table or even a couple of console tables for your home or collection there are a few methods you need to consider. I will try to explain the advantages and disadvantages each of the methods I’m going to examine has. I urge you to read everything so that you have knowledge about all of them before you decide which method to choose.

I’m going to consider 7 main methods that I believe to be the best so that your choice can become easier. These will be:

b) Online Stores
c) Craigslist
d) Estate Sales
e) Auctions
f) Famous Furniture Stores
g) Newspaper And Magazine Ads

Since it would take a huge article to include all of them, I will try to divide this article into a few parts as I understand that many of you just want to read about one or two of the methods and you don’t want to go on and read everything and then decide. Even though I can totally understand this, I believe that this is not the correct way to go. I think that when it comes to console tables, you need to see the whole picture so that you choose the option that suits you best. However, since I understand that many of you don’t have the time or patience to read a huge article, I’m going to make it in parts.

For now, I will start with online auction websites such as eBay.

Online Auction Websites

This is probably the only method that I would recommend that you don’t use when you are looking to buy a console table. The arguments for this statement are many. The disadvantages are the same as the online stores that I mentioned before and, moreover, you won’t find the same variety no matter what. As I told you before, people usually choose to sell console tables because they don’t need them anymore. An online auction however is very rarely the method people prefer to use for console tables. The reasons are simple. The seller will need to pay a certain percentage to the auction website and, in some cases; they will even have to pay shipping costs. So as you understand, selling a console table through an online auction website is not a seller’s first choice. On the other hand, if you are able to find a console table you love on an online auction website, then you should probably get it without second thought. I believe that if a person has chosen to use this method to sell his console table, it must mean that he doesn’t really care about how much money he will get so you may be able to spot a good bargain. Experiment for yourselves and let me know how it goes. Another thing I want to add here is that online auction websites is not the best way to find a modern console table as most console tables you will find will be older models. This however doesn’t mean that you will never be able to find one so take the time to search.

If, on the other hand, your wall is some other color, always make sure that the console table color you choose blends in well. Since it is placed normally next to your doorway, the second thing you need to consider when choosing your console table is the color of your door. Make sure that the color you pick doesn’t look weird compared to your door. The last thing you need to consider is the color of the furniture near the place you choose to place your console table at. People usually have some furniture near their doorway such as a closet for the coats or a basket for umbrellas.
