A console table is the table you normally place next to your doorway so that you can leave your keys or anything else that makes your pocket heavy. There are many types of console tables and here I am going to discuss some of them and what you need to consider when you decide to buy a console table.

Console tables can vary according to their color, shape, material or size. There is tons of variety around console tables and this is why you need to make sure to choose the correct one for your needs and taste. In this article, I am going to discuss what you need to take care of when considering the color and shape of your console table and I will make sure to post another one concerning the other two factors you need to consider.

The color of your console table

When considering what color your console table should be, there are a few things you need to consider. First, console tables are made in such a way that normally they are placed towards a wall. So obviously the primary thing you need to consider when deciding the color is the color of the wall you are going to use. If your wall is white, then you can choose almost any color you desire. When considering console tables, any color can match a white wall so pick your favorite. If, on the other hand, your wall is some other color, always make sure that the console table color you choose blends in well. Since it is placed normally next to your doorway, the second thing you need to consider when choosing your console table is the color of your door. Make sure that the color you pick doesn’t look weird compared to your door. The last thing you need to consider is the color of the furniture near the place you choose to place your console table at. People usually have some furniture near their doorway such as a closet for the coats or a basket for umbrellas. Sometimes, the doorway even leads to the main living room so make sure that your console table doesn’t stand out from the rest of your furniture.

The shape of your console table

A console table also comes in every shape imaginable. These vary from the simplest half circle console tables to the weirdest you can think of. My advice here is, as always try to keep it as simple as you can. You don’t need to choose some bizarre shape just because it looks fancy. Try to choose a console table that blends in well. On the other hand, if your house can sustain such a design, then you should probably go for it. Be careful though as a weird console table can look ugly to your guests.

I think that these should be enough to get you started. Always remember not to rush into any decisions without considering everything. Search enough and you will always find the best.
